There are many time in our lives when we can’t understand why our plans change. I was accepted for collage in my country before my mission, I was so happy, and I accepted opportunity to study because I didn’t see mission as an important thing, but God and my family helped me to make the best decision in my live; so I served as a full time Missionary.
I returned early from my mission because of illness. It was hard but when I got home I tried to enter in collage again, I couldn’t because before I accepted the admission, but I didn’t attend, so everything was blocked for me and I couldn’t study. I thought God didn’t love me because I came early from my mission.
In that sad moment I found PathwayConnect. I had heard about it before my mission, so when I saw applications open, my life started to change. From the first semester I needed to travel for 5 hours every Thursday in order to attend at a weekly Gathering. I remember my first travel as an excited experience. With time this feeling changed because it turned in a routine, but the spiritual learning helped me to continue. There were weeks I didn’t want to travel, but the knowledge about the blessings I was receiving strengthen me to press forward with patience, and love.
This wonderful program had blessed my life with everything I have learned throughout these semesters. One of my favorite Pathway tools obtained through this time is the BYU-I Learn Model since It helped me to trust in myself, and my Heavenly Father. I have been learning for all this time with God’s help, my online instructors, missionaries, speaking partner, peer partners, and my group. They have been a real blessing for my live, because they changed me to become in the kind of person who I’m.
PathwayConnect helped me to discover myself, my own strengths, my language skills. Mission was a wonderful tool to help me to learn English, but this program perfected it. My family took an important part in this process because they supported me every week to travel, my mom prepared early lunches in order to travel every Thursday. My older brother helped me with dinners at 11:00 Pm, and his sweet house to rest.
I’m so grateful to God for this opportunity to be part of his education system. Now I can be thankful for changes in my educational. I’m so blessed because I’m enrolled for BYU-Idaho Web Design and Development Degree.
Every skill gained in this course prepared me to continue with my goals, and being a better business man. These semesters had sacrifice, but it was with love. God did this program in order to extend all his blessing to every member around the world. Even though I’m sad for accomplish Pathway, but it’s part of my eternal path.
Don’t think 2 times to apply to this program, trust in someone who can do more for you, than all you can do for yourself throughout the eternities. Now I know that He has a perfect plan, and he can change our lives in order to lead us to the right way to accomplish his plan.
